IDENTIFIKASI POTENSI SEKTOR PARIWISATA DALAM PENINGKATAN EKONOMI MASYARAKAT LOKAL (Studi Kasus: Batu Pinagut Kabupaten Bolaang Mongondow Utara)

This study aims to identify the potential of the tourism sector to improve the local economy in the Batu Pinagut tourist area, North Bolaang Mongondow Regency. The research method used was descriptive qualitative, with a case study approach through observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires distributed to 50 respondents, consisting of local residents, MSMEs, and tourists. Data analysis used SWOT analysis techniques to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in tourism destination development. The results indicate that Batu Pinagut has significant potential as a leading tourist destination, characterized by its natural beauty, attractive coral reefs, and rich local culture and cuisine. Tourism activities have been proven to have a positive economic impact through increased community income, the growth of MSMEs, and the creation of new jobs in the service and trade sectors. However, several weaknesses hinder optimal tourism development, such as limited infrastructure, a lack of public facilities, and suboptimal tourism promotion. The SWOT analysis indicates that opportunities for tourism sector development remain wide open through local government support, natural tourism trends, and potential cross- sectoral collaboration.
