IMPLEMENTASI FITUR CHATBOT PADA WEBSITE HUMAS POLDA SUMATERA UTARA UNTUK MENDUKUNG KETERBUKAAN INFORMASI PUBLIK

Public information services require fast, accurate, and accessible delivery of information. This study aims to implement a chatbot feature on the Public Relations Website of the North Sumatra Regional Police to support public information openness and improve access to information. The system was developed using the Agile method because its iterative and flexible characteristics allow improvements to be made according to user needs during development. The chatbot was implemented as a web-based system using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Node.js, and MySQL. A simple Natural Language Processing (NLP) approach was applied to identify keywords in user questions and determine appropriate responses from the chatbot knowledge base. Data collection was carried out through literature study, interviews, and documentation involving information related to the duties, activities, and information needs of the Public Relations division. The system workflow consists of accessing the website, opening the chatbot, entering a question, processing the input, searching the knowledge base, and displaying the response. Testing was conducted using several information requests, including public relations services, service hours, contact information, North Sumatra Regional Police location, and unavailable questions. All tested functions produced the expected results. The implementation shows that the chatbot can provide information automatically and more practically without requiring users to wait for direct responses from an administrator. The novelty of this study lies in integrating a simple NLP-based chatbot into the North Sumatra Regional Police public relations website as an interactive supporting facility for public information services.
