Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the usability and user satisfaction of the STIKES YRSDS Learning Management System (LMS) using the System Usability Scale (SUS) method. The study involved 46 student respondents, consisting of 25 females and 21 males. Based on academic programs, 15 respondents were enrolled in the Diploma Program in Medical Record and Health Information (RMIK), while 31 respondents were from the Bachelor Program in Hospital Administration (ARS). Regarding academic level, the respondents included 17 second-semester students, 22 fourth-semester students, and 7 sixth-semester students. Data were collected using the SUS questionnaire, which consists of 10 statements rated on a five-point Likert scale ranging from “strongly disagree” to “strongly agree.” The analysis revealed that the statement receiving the highest proportion of “strongly agree” responses was related to the need for users to become familiar with the system before using the LMS. This finding indicates that users still require an adaptation period and initial orientation to understand the system interface and workflow effectively. Based on the SUS calculation, the STIKES YRSDS LMS achieved an average score of 64.6. This score falls within the Marginal (High) acceptability category, with a Grade Scale D and an Adjective Rating of “OK.” These results suggest that the system is reasonably usable but remains below the average SUS benchmark considered desirable for optimal usability. The findings indicate that the STIKES YRSDS LMS has met users’ basic needs; however, improvements are still necessary to enhance the overall user experience. Recommended improvements include simplifying system navigation, increasing ease of use, and providing user guides or tutorials for new users. These enhancements are expected to improve user satisfaction and promote more effective utilization of the LMS.
