Abstract

The concept of priority setting and time management occupies a strategic position in Islamic teachings, particularly in the traditions of Prophet Muhammad SAW. This study aims to analyze the principles of priority setting and time as a trust (amanah) from the perspective of hadith and examine their relevance to contemporary educational and organizational management. The study employs a qualitative descriptive approach through literature review by analyzing hadith sources, Islamic management literature, and relevant scientific publications. The findings reveal that the concept of priority setting in Islam is reflected through the principle of fiqh al-awlawiyyat, which emphasizes prioritizing more essential and beneficial matters. Meanwhile, time is viewed as a divine trust that will be accounted for before Allah SWT. These values align with modern management principles, including efficiency, planning, accountability, productivity evaluation, and strategic leadership. Therefore, integrating prophetic values into management practices contributes to the development of effective, ethical, and spiritually oriented management systems.
