KARAKTER HIDUP TERANG DENGAN SANG FIRMAN BERDASARKAN 1 YOHANES 1:1-10 BAGI KOMUNITAS HOMELESS NESS HATI TULUS INDONESIA DI SURAKARTA

Abstract

This article examines the formation of a life of light in Christ based on 1 John 1:1-10 for the Homeless Hati Tulus Indonesia community. The background of this research is the reality of the lives of homeless people who do not yet know the Lord Jesus Christ, do not yet live in Christ, and still struggle with worldly life and the harsh realities of everyday life. Based on a textual analysis of 1 John 1:1-10 and a review of related literature, this article highlights how fellowship with God as the Light will shape a character that leaves the darkness of sin and radiates truth. Three scientific innovations are proposed: (1) the development of a contextualization model of the theology of light for marginalized communities, (2) the identification of specific factors in the homeless environment that hinder or support the formation of Christian character, and (3) the formulation of a holistic strategy that integrates the teachings of 1 John 1:1-10 with the psychosocial needs of the homeless community. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with a literature review and Greek grammar analysis approach. The purpose of this study is to formulate the theological implications of 1 John 1:1-10 for the formation of a shining Christian character in the midst of the darkness of the world for the Homeless Hati Tulus Indonesia community.
