HUBUNGAN ANTARA PAPARAN POLUSI UDARA DENGAN RHINITIS ALERGI

Rhinitis alergi (RA) merupakan penyakit inflamasi saluran napas atas yang prevalensinya meningkat seiring paparan polusi udara. Studi ini bertujuan mengkaji hubungan antara polusi udara dan RA melalui tinjauan literatur dari berbagai jurnal ilmiah terbitan 2015–2025. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa paparan PM2.5, PM10, NO₂, dan SO₂ berkontribusi terhadap kerusakan mukosa, aktivasi imun Th2, serta peningkatan sensitisasi alergen. Faktor dalam ruangan seperti kelembapan tinggi dan ventilasi buruk turut memperparah gejala. Intervensi berbasis nutrisi seperti vitamin D, omega-3, dan probiotik menunjukkan potensi protektif, meski masih perlu validasi lebih lanjut. Mitigasi RA membutuhkan pendekatan terpadu antara pengendalian lingkungan dan penguatan daya tahan tubuh.
