PENGARUH LATIHAN PLIOMETRIK TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN HEADING SSB NAPOSDO KABUPATEN SAMOSIR

This study aims to examine the effect of plyometric training on the heading ability of football players at SSB Naposdo Samosir Regency. Plyometric training was applied twice a week for one to two months with a pre-test and post-test experimental design to measure changes in heading ability. The study sample consisted of 20 players who were registered and actively participated in SSB Naposdo activities, using purposive sampling technique. The results of the study showed a significant improvement in players' heading ability after participating in plyometric training, as indicated by the comparison of the pre-test and post-test average scores, from 4.45 to 6.55. The t-test results showed a t-value of 6.650, which is higher than the critical t-value of 1.729, meaning plyometric training had a positive effect on heading ability improvement. Physiologically, plyometric training improves lower leg explosive power, body coordination, timing, and heading strength. This study proves that plyometric training is effective in enhancing heading ability and can be implemented in regular training programs to improve football performance at SSB Naposdo Samosir Regency.
